iPhone 13 camera features you didn’t know about

iPhone 13 camera features

The iPhone 13 series of devices has created a real sensation in the mobile technology market. Apart from the original design that was first seen in the iPhone 12 range, the camera is really impressive. The creators have outfitted it to the fullest, ensuring that users can enjoy cool modes and useful features.

Rear camera capabilities

The new smartphone has got a feature called Cinema Effect. It is the one that, according to user surveys, is the most interesting. With its help, you can shoot videos with a bokeh effect, which is usually seen in portrait images. The new Cine Mode lets you take high-quality movies that rival those of top Hollywood movies.

Another new feature is ‘Photographic Styles’, as the manufacturer calls them. Essentially, this is a set of filters that can be used to create truly incredible images. The main pride of the “apple” giant is that the styles differ from traditional filters in their ability to change the warmth of the frame, but retain the skin tone and colour of the sky. There are four styles:

  • Saturated – is responsible for colour saturation;
  • Contrast – for adjusting contrast;
  • Warm – gives a nice golden cast to the image;
  • Cool – adds blue to the picture.

Turn this function on before you take any photos. Finished photos are not processed using it.

The camera on the iPhone 13 is ultra-wide-angle and works in macro mode. This captures even the smallest elements, such as a drop or a spark. The camera captures images from a distance of 2 cm.

Additional interesting features and technologies

Let’s start with the ProRes function. It captures video and post-processes and edits the result. With ProRes, users can capture video with incredible clarity and detail, and then push it into Final Cut Pro on the Mac. The value of the feature is that data compression is minimal.

Another “plus” on the new iPhone 13 is QuickTake. The feature eliminates the need to switch from photo mode to video mode when filming. If you want to shoot video in photo mode, you just have to hold your finger on the capture button.

Top front camera functions

You should start with the feature that disables the selfie mirror function. That way you get the image exactly as you take it, rather than looking at the result on your screen. You can disable selfies in the camera settings.

As with the rear camera, the front camera also has its own “movie effect”. It works in a similar way. Two other technologies that are present in both modules are Smart HDR 4 and Deep Fusion. The former is responsible for automatically adjusting contrast, luminance and skin tone. The second provides the right amount of light if the frame is completely dark. This is made possible by the tandem of technology and the Neural Engine machine learning system.
